Each kit includes:

• 1 Paintliner™ canvas
• Up to 8 jars of paint (depending on the image you chose)
• A set of paintbrushes
• A reference photograph of your painting
• Paint tips & instructions

Please note that frames are sold separately.

You will need access to either a sink or a fresh cup of water to rinse your brushes in between paint colors. We also recommend keeping paper towels nearby. While our paint is easy to clean up, you might prefer to lay down some newsprint to provide extra protection to your workspace.

• All of our packaging is either reusable or recyclable. For example, our paint comes in glass jars which can be rinsed out and re-used and the reference photo we include doubles as a postcard that you can send to a friend once you have completed your kit. We refuse to use any single-use plastics!
• Our products are made within the United States as opposed to shipped in from overseas, minimizing the carbon footprint of our products. Plus, each of our kits is made-to-order and made by hand as opposed to manufactured in bulk in a factory.
• Our paints are Green Seal Standard approved, a rating only given to products that meet the highest benchmarks in personal safety and environmental responsibility.
• Not only are the materials for our kits (like the canvas) high quality but so are the tools used to complete the kits (like the paintbrushes). This way, they can be held on to and re-used for years to come.

Paintliner kits use an acrylic-based paint. We're proud to use paint that is Green Seal Standard approved (a rating only given to products that meet the highest benchmarks in personal safety and environmental responsibility).

We have carefully tested our product to ensure that we send you enough of each color to complete your Paintliner kit. Though one jar of any color might not seem like a lot, a little paint goes a long way. That being said, if for whatever reason you do run out of any color, please contact us. We will work with you to fix this so you can finish your painting.

Once your paint dries out, there’s not much you can do to restore it. We make sure to seal our jars tightly before we send them to you, so hopefully no paint arrives in a dried up state (please check your package when it arrives and contact us immediately if you experience this). Once you have opened your jars and as you are working, the paint will gradually dry out if left exposed to the air. We recommend working on only one color at a time, and keeping all jars tightly sealed when not in use.

Make sure to promptly clean your brushes at the end of your paint sessions with clean water so the paint doesn’t dry in the bristles.

You will likely need to paint 2 or 3 layers to achieve maximum color vibrancy and to minimize the visibility of your brush strokes. We recommend painting thinner layers so they dry evenly and without getting tacky.

The paint dries to the touch within 10-15 minutes depending on the thickness of the paint layer and the temperature of your room. 

Painting is a highly personal process – everyone paints at a different rate. The length of time it takes to complete a Paintliner™ kit will vary based on many factors like the piece of art you chose, how precise you want to be, and how much experience you have. There is no right or wrong speed to work at. We hope that you take your time, enjoy the process, and create something you can be proud of.

Absolutely! We intentionally simplified the style of our artwork to avoid more advanced painting techniques (like blending or shading) and to reduce the precision required to create a beautiful piece of art. We hope everyone feels empowered and excited to paint.
